Following on the heels of the adult style show is the area's only teen mentoring fashion event that has received a national award. Under the guidance of professionals from the community, hight school students bring the entire show to life-from the theme to production to the teardown of the set. They learn about event planning, modeling, public speaking, retailing and fashion, marketing, graphic design, fund-raising, and presentation. In 2006, the Putting It Together Teen Style Show was honored with a Hospital Award for Volunteer Excellence from the American Hospital Association.
